Interdistrict Transfer Permit Information
1. Rowland USD Residents Applying to Attend Another District
Rowland USD residents who want to enroll in another district must complete and submit an Interdistrict Transfer Permit Application.
Important: The application provided below is for the 2025–2026 school year only.
Please note:

Interdistrict Transfer permits are valid for one school year only and must be renewed annually.

Processing and approval may take up to 30 calendar days from the date a completed application is received.
Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
2. Families Seeking Enrollment in Rowland USD from Another District
For families who live outside the Rowland USD attendance area and wish to attend RUSD, an Interdistrict Transfer Permit must be submitted to your district of residence.
The Rowland Unified School District will review the following documents for consideration:

Current Transcript/Report Card

Current and Last Year’s Attendance Record
-
Discipline Record
Even if none found, provide a letter stating “No disciplinary record found,” signed and stamped by the current or previous school -
Current Special Education records/IEP (if applicable)

504 Plan (if applicable)

An Interdistrict Transfer Permit (District to District) is a formal agreement between Rowland Unified School District and other districts that allows for the transfer of students in accordance with Education Code (EC) 48204. Approval to attend outside of the district of residency is not mandatory.
