Rowland Virtual Learning Academy
The Rowland Virtual Learning Academy is an alternative to in-person learning that reflects the traditional school setting, incorporating components known to benefit student achievement and success.
As a student in the Rowland Virtual Learning Academy:
- Students have access to high quality standards-based daily instruction provided by a Rowland Unified School District teacher.
- Students follow in the traditional school calendar for the District.
- Students participate in a learning day similar to our elementary schools.
- Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten students are learning from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- First through sixth grade students are learning from 8:00 a.m. to 2:28 p.m.
- Student will have a learning day that includes both synchronous and asynchronous instruction.
- Receive ongoing feedback, assessments and grades from their teacher.
- Students will be provided:
- district device chrome book or an IPAD
- all textbooks and materials
- learning tools readers
- Zoom platform
- Students will be required to:
- participate daily in lessons
- participate in large and small groups
- work independently through Seesaw and/or Google Classroom
- the completion of all assignments
