FREE AND REDUCED PRICE BREAKFASTS AND LUNCHES

Free and reduced price breakfast and lunches are provided fro qualifying students under the National School Lunch and breakfast Programs and Summer Food Services Program for children. Applications are mailed each year to all households prior to the start of school. Applications can also be picked up at the District Office, at your local school office, or school cafeteria.
 
Thirty Day Grace Period:

Students who were approved fro free or reduced price meals last year in a Rowland Unified School (and were active Students at  the end of school year) are allowed to eat free meals or reduced-price meals fro up to 30 days based on last years application. This grace period gives the Food Service Department  to time to process all the applications for this school year. If the eligibility status changes based on this year’s application, the new status will be effective immediately.

Younger brothers and sisters may also eat free or reduced-price meals during the grace period based on the family’s status from last year. Siblings who now live with an eligible family may participate in the grace period.
