Retirement Benefits
Effective January 1, 2026, the District’s health insurance coverage will transition from CalPERS to ASCIP. If you are currently enrolled in a CalPERS medical plan, your coverage will end on that date.
- Retiree under 65 years old: You will need to select a new medical plan under ASCIP.
- Retiree age 65+: There are several options available through RetireeFirst, Companion Care, and ASCIP, depending on your individual situation (for example, if you have a spouse under 65 or dependent children on your plan).
