  What fun more than 200 families had at this year's Virtual KinderFest event on March 20, 2021! Rowland Unified invited families with children 3 to 5 years old to experience the fun that Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten students have! RUSD teachers hosted an interactive puppet show, story telling, music and dancing and more! Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is now open!

  Rowland Unified School District is proud of our Kindergarten Care & Connect program and how we have stayed connected with our youngest learners. The District has launched the Book of the Month Project where all 900 Kindergartners receive a book mailed to them and every Friday students have visits with incredible authors and illustrators where they share their journey in reading and writing so children can visualize and see themselves in books.
  
  KNBC Channel 4 News tuned in for a Friday reading with Author Grace Lin (her book "Big Mooncake for Little Star" was RUSD's January Book of the Month) and spoke with students and staff about the program. Aired on February 26, 2021.
