About the RUSD Performing Arts Center

The Arts Are Alive in the Rowland Unified School District!

The Rowland Unified School District held the 2020 Inaugural opening and ribbon cutting of the new District Performing Arts Center on January 31,2020 and the first performance was Winterfest. Unfortunately due to the pandemic, there was a pause for further performances in 2020 and early 2021.

This premier space showcases a variety of visual and performing arts from across the District, along with presentations and community events.

Thanks to our community's support of the Measure R Bond, this $8 million dollar state-of-the-art facility is 18,000 square feet with a 615 seat theater. The contemporary interior design of the theater house and lobby features a laminate wall paneling system with stainless steel column covers and railings that offer a simple, elegant appearance. The special ceiling acoustic panels were designed for the theater's sensitive acoustic needs. The stage is equipped with a full catwalk and loading bridge along with counterbalanced rigging allowing for full fly capability of backdrops and sets. Backstage includes a fully equipped stage shop, scene/costume storage, and manager's office.
