NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN TO ALL QUALIFIED VOTERS in the COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES and ORANGE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, that an election will be held on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2022, for the purpose of electing the following:
3 Governing Board Members of ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT,
TRUSTEE AREAS 1, 3, AND 5
Candidates for the above offices must be registered voters residing within the district/trustee area at the time the declaration of candidacy is issued pursuant to §35107 of the Education Code, and §201 of the Elections Code.
Declaration of Candidacy forms for the election are available no earlier than JULY 18, 2022, and no later than Friday, AUGUST 12, 2022, at the REGISTRAR-RECORDER/COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE:
- Los Angeles County: 12400 Imperial Highway, Norwalk, CA 90650, 2nd Floor, Room 2013, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Orange County: 1300-C South Grand Avenue, Santa Ana, CA 92705, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Appointment to each elective office will be made as prescribed by §5328 of the Education Code and §10515 of the Elections Code in the event:
- There are no nominees or there is an insufficient number of nominees for such office(s); and
- A petition signed by 10% or 50 voters in the district or division, if applicable, whichever is the smaller number, requesting that an election be held, has not been presented by 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, AUGUST 17, 2022.

*Candidate Filing Period July 18, 2022 - August 12, 2022*
There are three Board of Education seats open for November 8 General Election, one seat in trustee area 1 (yellow), one seat in trustee area 3 (Pink), and one seat in trustee area 5 (purple). Candidates must reside within the trustee area that they file for. Please note, trustee area 1 and trustee area 3 fall within the County of Los Angles and must file Declaration of Candidacy forms with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office. Trustee area 5 falls mostly within the County of Los Angeles with a small area located in the County of Orange so candidates must file Declaration of Candidacy forms with the Los Angeles County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office and may also file Declaration of Candidacy forms with the Orange County Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk’s office to obtain votes by registered voters within the trustee area that reside in the County of Orange.
