Eunice Lee First Korean Teacher in State to Receive Single Subject Teaching Credential

Rowland High School Teacher Eunice Lee was recognized at the April 7 Board of Education Meeting for her certificate of appreciation as an outstanding teacher from the Korean Science and Technology Ministry of Education. Lee is the first Korean teacher in California to receive a single subject teaching credential in Korean. She has been a Board member for the Foundation for Korean Language and Culture in the United States and has also served as a pedagogy expert at the University of Maryland’s National Foreign Language Center. Lee has also conducted numerous seminars to encourage other Koreans to seek their credentials. Lee has been instrumental in building Rowland High School’s Korean language program and increasing the involvement of Korean families with Rowland High School.
