Santa Helps Deliver Presents to Adopt N’ Shop Needy Families This Saturday
LA PUENTE, CA -- Hundreds of elves (RUSD school employees and community members) will make the holiday season a little brighter for 300 of the most needy children this Saturday, December 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Northam Elementary School in La Puente. More than 100 families from across the Rowland Unified School District were chosen to participate in the Adopt N’Shop program and children provided their “Toy Wish List.” Community members adopted a family and on Saturday, Santa will make a special early appearance and deliver the gifts to the children. Festivities also include Santa photos and holiday food and fun. The Family Resource Center, which helps families who live in poverty with needed services so their children can be more successful in school, organizes the Adopt N’ Shop Holiday program each year.
