“It is such a wonderful experience for our students to not only share their creative projects at such a largely attended conference, (over 15,000 attendees, from 86 countries and all 50 states!) but to also communicate with educators from across the globe is such an honor,” said Jellick Teacher Nancy Buck, who traveled with students along with teacher Deborah Park. “The students realize not everyone has access to the same programs they do, and that their creative projects they’ve worked on are unique.”
While the first Jellick student team presented at ISTE online in 2020, this was the fifth time Jellick Jaguars have presented at the ISTE Conference abroad, having sent student presenters to New Orleans in 2022, Philadelphia in 2023, Denver in 2024 and San Antonio last year. The team also enjoyed visiting the EXPO HALL where they met many of the hard-working people behind the scences of the education companies. Representatives from companies suchy as Clever, Padlet, WeVideo, BrainPop, EPIC, LineWize, Prodigy, and ParentSquare were excited to meet the Jaguars and hear how they use their platforms back at school.
The Jaguar Team is led each year by teachers Deborah Park and Nancy Buck.
This year, the team took the following Jaguars:
Sienna (TK), Ethan (5th) and Carol (6th)
