It's been a busy season for the Nogales and Rowland high school bands. Both have competed in many field shows, as well as performing at football games.
 
And last weekend, they were two of the 12 high school bands that competed in the Southern California Division 5A championship in San Diego.
 
The Nogales Noble Regiment has been especially busy. In the past month, the 120-member group has competed in a statewide competition and served as the pep band for a televised NCAA basketball tournament.
 
The Nogales band won second place in the California State Band Championships on Nov. 21. It beat out 17 other bands.
