To raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphona Society through Pennies for Patients this month, students have the challenge to raise $5,000.  Last year they raised $2,500 and teacher Mrs. Ruud dyed her hair green. This year's challenge: If they raise $5,000, Mrs. Ruud will shave her head! If they raise $3,000, Principal Sarah Opatkiewicz will get a big, hot pink streak through her hair!

This Friday students at lunch will do "Show the Love" - where students can buy a yard of duct tape for $1 and stick the principal to the wall.

Character traits this month are empathy and kindness and these events are to help motivate students' spirits of giving back.
