Dear Rowland Unified Staff and Community:
Rowland Unified was one of several districts across Los Angeles County and the state that received a generic email threat about school safety this morning. Los Angeles County Law Enforcement was notified immediately by the Los Angeles County Office of Education. It has been confirmed that the threat has been vetted by the Los Angeles County Sherriff’s Department and determined not to be credible. It originated in the United Kingdom and was duplicated and distributed throughout the United States.
The safety of our students and staff remain our top priority. This is a reminder that if you see something, say something. Staff, students and parents can help at anytime by reporting unusual activity by contacting school offices directly, the District Office, or by using our District Tip Line at (626)513-8958. If you download the Rowland Unified School District mobile app, our TipLine can also receive photos and texts directly.
During this heightened time of school safety, rumors quickly circulate and we investigate all reports received and take each one seriously. We are very appreciative of our full community working together to keep our schools safe.
