The Rowland Unified School District is proud of Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Julie Mitchell, who was honored by Senator Josh Newman as "Woman of the Year' in Education on March 22, 2018 at the Fullerton Community Center.

Superintendent Dr. Julie Mitchell considers herself a teacher at heart and has served 29 years in public education. Her leadership has brought a laser focus and unwavering vision to “innovative learning for all” in Rowland Unified that supports the needs of students, families and staff. Her pioneering approach to instruction has guided the District to launching its first-ever digital initiative, instituting new technological tools and programs to increase student achievement, expanded music education opportunities, and garnering state and national awards.
