If comedy were a sport there would be cheerleaders.
And marching bands.
While the Comedy Sportz team at Rowland High School doesn't have a marching band, it does have a cadre of cheering fans who love the sport.
It has an audience that appreciates comedy improv and the quick minds of the high school students brave enough to take the stage in this battle of wits.
In Comedy Sportz being different gets the most laughs. The more outrageous the better.
Just ask Jonathan Blessum. While the senior is usually mild-mannered, once he hits the stage, the 18-year-old is a wild man.
