There were smiles and shopping bags galore yesterday as students from Villacorta Elementary took part in the annual Santa Socks & Shoes event sponsored by West Covina Sunrise Rotary. Students were able to visit Payless Shoe Store at the Westfield Mall and pick out any pair of shoes and socks they wanted!
“Christmas came early to our students and the visit from Santa was the icing on the cake. The children were so excited and thankful for this experience. We are privileged to have the generous support of West Covina Sunrise Rotary; words cannot sufficiently express my gratitude,” said Villacorta Principal John Martinez.
