Thanks to a donation sponsored by Mt. San Antonio College Counseling Department and the “Shoes That Fit” organization, students at Hollingworth Elementary received special gifts of new shoes yesterday. Hollingworth Office Manager Bea Ramos applied for the grant last year and teachers and staff
selected 25 students in need.
“The kids had a great time and were ecstatic about their shoes,” said Ramos. “Once we selected the students, we were sent a measuring kit by Shoes That Fit. The shoes were really good quality and we wrapped them in beautiful Christmas packages. It was such a nice treat to see how much they appreciated the gifts and the joy it brought them.”
