All families/students interested in learning more about the Rowland Unified School District Elementary Instrumental Music Program (beginning and intermediate elementary music instruction) for students in 4th, 5th and 6th grades are invited to attend the informational meeting on Wednesday, August 29 at 7 p.m. at Rowland High School in the gymnasium.
We urge you and your child to attend. Instruments: Violin, Viola, Cello, String Bass, Flute, Trumpet, Oboe, French Horn, Bassoon, Clarinet, Trombone, Saxophone, Baritone.
*As a service to our community, we have invited several music stores to bring instruments for display and rental. You can do this in one location and not drive from one music store to another to comparison shop, and choose the instrument most suitable for your child.
The program will be taught at all elementary schools during the regular school day. There will also be an optional Wednesday night beginning and intermediate level band rehearsals at Rowland High School in the Hideout or the Band Room. This evening rehearsal is one hour long for each level and will start September 5th, 2012, at 6:00 p.m., for beginning band students and 7:00 p.m., for intermediate level band students.
