STATEMENT FROM ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT REGARDING MISINFORMATION POSTED ON SOCIAL MEDIA 

 

FEBRUARY 24, 2024 -- ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA -- The Rowland Unified School District is sharing with the community that there is a social media hoax that is spreading false information on various social media and online sources with allegations about an administrator at Rowland High School. The information is untrue.

“The Rowland Unified School District is committed to student safety, and we immediately investigate any allegations of misconduct. We appreciate the support from our Rowland Unified community and families in talking with their children about the seriousness of creating, generating, or circulating false accusations and/or rumors and ask the community’s support in not perpetuating the distribution of false information,” said Rowland Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Julie Mitchell. The District is working with local authorities to investigate this matter.

The Rowland Unified School District takes all matters of student safety very seriously and encourages students, staff and families to immediately report any concerns to school officials or the District Office.
