Sports Heroes Visit LA PUENTE Elementary STUDENTS to Send Out Message of Perseverance
LA PUENTE, CA—MARCH 23, 2011— As part of the Options Enrichment Program, Hurley Elementary will have sports heroes at their school assembly on March 24 at 1:30 p.m.. Derek Sparks, former College All American football player and Jamie Redd, former WNBA player for the Seattle Sonics, will inspire students to persevere, stay in school and make good choices. After school from 3 -5 p.m., a basketball clinic and autograph signing will take place for the 4th -6th grade students.
