Annette Martinez

At the October 13, 2022 Board of Education Meeting, the Board made two appointments. Congratulations to Annette Martinez who was promoted to Coordinator of Special Education. Martinez has been part of the Rowland family for the past 17 years, serving as a Speech-Language Pathologist, TOSA/Program Facilitator and most recently Program Specialist for the District’s Special Education Department. She has experience at both the elementary and secondary levels and is passionate about promoting inclusivity for our students with various learning styles and abilities, supporting them with their social-emotional learning, and embracing diversity so that students’ abilities can be the focus.

"I am proud to take on this role and level of service as Special Education Coordinator. I am excited to continue our work in Special Education with servicing our students and families with exceptional needs as well as the educators, service providers, and staff of RUSD who give their all to our students on a daily basis. I am eager for the opportunities for collaboration as we look to inclusive practices to support all learning abilities."
