Safe Communities Festival March 27 at Rowland Heights Community Park - Booth Applications Now Available

SAFE COMMUNITIES FESTIVAL MARCH 27 AT ROWLAND HEIGHTS COMMUNITY PARK

 

Booths Available for Public Service Groups – Deadline February 26

 

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – February 19, 2010 – The community is invited to attend the 18th annual Safe Communities Festival on Saturday, March 27, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rowland Heights Community Park. The festival celebrates the role all facets of the community play in promoting a safe, secure and peaceful environment for all to enjoy. The Safe Communities Festival will feature more than 35 health and information booths, entertainment, food and game booths, public safety displays and demonstrations by community groups, Rowland Unified schools and public service organizations. School, community and public service groups interested in providing entertainment for the community stage and/or a booth for activities or food/games as a fundraiser for your organization, please download the Safe Communities Booth Form below and return to the Rowland Unified School District Office by February 26, 2010.

            The Festival comes as the conclusion of the community-wide celebration of Safe Communities Week, March 22 - 27, 2010. The event is sponsored by Los Angeles County Supervisor Don Knabe’s Office, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department/Southeast Recreation District, California Highway Patrol – Santa Fe Springs Office, Operation Safe Community, the Rowland Unified School District and the Rowland Unified School District Safety and Drug Alcohol Tobacco Education (DATE) Program.
