Congratulations to our Adult Education graduates of Rowland Adult and Community Education (RACE). The ceremony was held last night at Rowland High School. Student speakers were Carmen Flores and Natalie De La Paz. A special GED award was presented to Richard Maldonado for the highest English GED score. A perfect score is 4,000 and Richard received a score of 3,120. Director of Rowland Adult and Community Education Rocky Bettar presented the Director’s award to Lily Tran for superior achievement and demonstrating a desire for learning. Todd Hua received special recognition for demonstrating determination in achieving a High School diploma. Connie Miranda, President of Rowland Council PTA presented the Ada Mae Warner scholarship to Sarah Mallari. Rowland Board President Robert Hidalgo and Board Member Judy Nieh presented certificates to graduates.
RACE provides the opportunity for adult students to work at their own pace with one-on-one instruction.
