Community Survey: RUSD Planning for New Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program

We value your input!

Dear Community Member:

Rowland Unified School District strives to serve the needs of all students and families. As a result, the District is gathering information regarding the possible addition of a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program beginning in the 2018-2019 school year. The interest survey below is for our RUSD Community to provide input and feedback regarding this idea. The implementation of a potential new Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program would likely begin in grades Kindergarten and Grade 1 the first year and would expand each year until fully implemented in Grades K-6 or K-8. Additionally, a new group of Kindergarten students would begin each year. A minimum number of enrolled students would be needed in order to start the program.

Your participation and feedback is anonymous and data will be used to assist staff in developing recommendations for the 2018-2019 school year. Responses to the survey will help inform district decision-making regarding the development of a Mandarin Dual Language Immersion Program. If you have any questions, please contact Silvia Rivas, Director of Special Projects at (626) 854-8392.
