Prestigious College Scholarships Awarded to Nogales and Rowland High School Students

Making NHS History...TWO Questbridge National College Match Scholars: Mariana Lopez Ruiz and Eridaly Basave

For the first time in its history, Nogales High School has two seniors who were QuestBridge scholarship recipients in the same year! Congratulations to Mariana Lopez Ruiz and Eridaly Basave for clinching the prestigious QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship! They have each secured the cost of a full four-year college scholarship, totaling an estimated $700,000! Mariana Lopez Ruiz will be attending Pomona College, and Eridaly Basave will be attending Claremont McKenna College, both top liberal arts colleges in the country.

Match Scholarship recipients are awarded early admission and a full four-year scholarship to students who have shown outstanding academic ability despite financial challenges from one of the QuestBridge college partners. The generous financial aid package covers the cost of attendance, including tuition and fees, room and board, books, supplies, travel expenses and with no parental contributions or student loans. Congratulations Mariana and Eridaly!
