SUPERINTENDENT OF ROWLAND UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT TO GIVE STATE OF THE SCHOOLS PRESENTATION JULY 10

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – JULY 5, 2017 – Dr. Julie Mitchell, Superintendent of the Rowland Unified School District, will give a “State of the Schools” presentation at the regularly scheduled Rowland Heights Community Coordinating Council meeting on Monday, July 10, 2017, 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at the Rowland Heights Community Center. The Center is located at Pathfinder Park, 18150 E. Pathfinder Road in Rowland Heights.

Education is in the midst of a transformation to meet the changing needs of students, society, the workforce and the world. Students who are in school today must be prepared to compete in a global society where artificial intelligence, robotics, self-driving cars, and advances in technology are changing the landscape of education, the economy, and the job market. Come learn how the Rowland Unified School District is preparing students to compete in this global world and for careers that have yet to be created.

The first hour of the program will include reports from local law enforcement agencies and from the offices of U.S. Congressman Ed Royce, California State Senator Josh Newman, California Assemblyman Phillip Chen and Mt. San Antonio College. Dr. Mitchell’s presentation will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m.

This is a public meeting. All interested parties are invited to attend. There is no charge for admission.
