RUSD SHOWCASE EVENT SATURDAY

The Rowland Unified School District invites the community to a special RUSD Showcase Event Saturday, February 4 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Rowland Heights Community Center at Pathfinder Park in Rowland Heights. This rain or shine event will feature the entire district under one roof with school booths, academic and enrichment program information, parent resources and visual and performing arts every 15 minutes with 20 acts of student entertainment on three stages. Student entertainment highlights include Nogales High School and Northam Elementary Folklorico, Rowland High School Jazz Band, RUSD Elementary Band, RUSD Honor Orchestra, RUSD Mariachi, drama presentations from Hurley Elementary and Ybarra Academy, along with dance performances and student leadership presentations. There will also be an arts exhibition by Nogales, Rowland and Santana High School advanced art students, and demonstrations of robotics from Telesis Academy, Shelyn Elementary and Jellick Elementary. Visitors can enjoy a KidsZone, a Taco Truck from Los Amigos and treats created by culinary art students from Rowland High School.             The Rowland Heights Community Center is located at 18150 Pathfinder Road, Pathfinder Park in Rowland Heights. Free courtesy shuttles will be offered at Rowland High School every 15 minutes starting at 9:30 a.m. in the main parking lot. (RHS is located at 2000 S. Otterbein Ave., Rowland Heights). Additional courtesy shuttles are available to transport families to Pathfinder Park with pick-up locations at 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM from Hurley Elementary (535 S. Dora Guzman, La Puente), Giano Intermediate (3223 S. Giano Ave. West Covina) and Nogales High School (401 S. Nogales Street, La Puente).
