Congratulations goes to second grade teacher Janice Iwamoto at Killian who won the school's P.T. Cruiser raffle on Saturday at Superior Chrysler in the City of Industry. The festive celebration began with a performance by the Rowland Unified Elementary Jazz Band led by music director Laura Tovar. After the winning ticket was drawn, Killian Principal Susan Halliday called Janice (who has taught at Killian for two years) to tell her she won, and minutes later she and her husband drove up to grab the keys to their new car!
The P.T. Cruiser Raffle raised more than $15,000 to support the school's new iMAC computer lab.
