West Covina Mayor James Toma met with 2nd Graders from Telesis Academy of Science & Math yesterday to share with students the role of the mayor in local government and listened to four "Student Mayor" speeches. The students built their own towns and learned about the services provided in a city. Mayor Toma enjoyed answering some great questions about what it is like being mayor and about college since the school is a "No Excuses University," focused on college preparation beginning in Kindergarten.
