Designer Dreams Come True for Telesis Girls

Dreams Come True for Telesis Girls: The designer dresses were hidden with care so they were not seen as the students entered the science lab. Telesis Academy of Science & Math Principal Miriam Kim sat the girls down. “If you do well in life, good things will happen to you -- if you always have that character, if you always push yourself to do your very best. This is the beginning of good things happening to you.”

There were gasps and even a few tears as amazing designer dresses were rolled out with each of the girls’ names on them. Days before their 8th Grade Awards Night and Dance, 10 students were selected by their teachers for making the most improvement this year in attitude, achievement and overall character for success. “Most overcame enormous obstacles. Some of these girls’ have come out of their shells and are blossoming into great future leaders as women. Thanks to BCBGMAXAZRIA store, they have provided these stunning designer dresses that are worn by celebrities, for our young girls who deserve a special night for what they have accomplished,” said Kim.

Student Olivia Sparks said, “I just feel blessed that I was able to get this dress and I am proud of myself that I did what I am supposed to do for this to happen.” Tianna Arana also agreed, “I think it’s a good opportunity for people to feel honored about themselves and a chance to get a great dress!”

The girls are excited about feeling (and looking) glamorous on Wednesday evening,  June 4 at 6 p.m. as they arrive for their 8th grade graduation dance in the Telesis “University Café.”
