Public Invited to 40th Annual Rowland Field Show Tournament Oct. 16

PUBLIC INVITED TO 40th ANNUAL ROWLAND FIELD SHOW TOURNAMENT SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16

 

ROWLAND HEIGHTS, CA – OCTOBER 6, 2010 – Get ready to experience more than 30 bands perform at the 40th Annual Rowland Field Show Tournament on Saturday, October 16 from Noon to 10 p.m. at Rowland High School. Drawing more than 5,000 people in attendance, the Rowland Field Show Tournament is the biggest fundraiser for the Rowland Instrumental Music (RIM) Club, the booster club that supports the Rowland Raider Regiment.  Rowland High School is located at 2000 S. Otterbein Avenue in Rowland Heights. Event admission is:

Admission: $3 student (wearing RUSD elementary/junior high school band shirt)

$5 child - ages 5 - 12 (Under 5 FREE)

$8 Adult (over 12 years old)

Seniors FREE (62 years and older)

RHS Students $6 (with ASB Card)

The Rowland Raider Regiment, under the direction of Jason Alvo, includes the award-winning marching band, concert band, color guard, dance team, drum line and jazz band. The Raider Regiment will perform in nine tournaments this year; various drum line, dance and jazz competitions, and have been invited to appear in this year’s famous Hollywood Santa Parade on November 28.

The RIM club is in need of food donations for the tournament snack bar (hamburgers/hot dogs/nachos/baked potatoes). Monetary donations to the RIM Club are also appreciated, to help support the instrumental music program at Rowland High School to purchase new uniforms, instruments and other equipment.
