Rowland Unified is committed to the arts and is one of the few Districts to offer Instrumental Music in all of our elementary, middle and high schools! Our high schools and intermediate schools have won numerous awards in marching, jazz and concert competitions. The Nogales Noble Regiment and Rowland Raider Regiment include a Marching Band, Percussion ensemble, Color Guard, Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Pep Band and Orchestra.

The Rowland Unified Instrumental program includes instruction at all District Schools. Elementary band and jazz band begins in 5th grade. Our String Program (which starts in 4th grade) has grown to 8 elementary schools, 2 intermediate and both high schools! Our Honor Orchestra features the top string students from all of the District schools, and has been invited to perform at the Regional Festival, representing the best music programs in all of the Southern California!

Have You Seen Our Mobile Music Machines? Rowland’s unique blue busses — The Note Boat and Music Machine — can be seen daily across the District. Driven by our music teachers, they provide music instruction at our 15 elementary schools! Rowland’s Elementary Instrumental program has won the state “Golden Bell Award” for innovative programs. 2010 will mark the 30th anniversary of the program.
