Rowland Unified School District

Staff Only
Preschool Programs
Rowland offers preschool programs on all elementary campuses except Oswalt. The preschool program, as well as the District's before- and after-school child-care programs, is offered by Options, a licensed program that supports many neighboring school districts. For more information on before-and-after school child care program locations, call (626)284-9935.

Because our preschool is a District-sponsored program, the curriculum supports school readiness and helps students adapt to school experiences. Full-day and half-day programs are available. Enrollment priority is given to families with financial need who live in the immediate area and have a child who is in between 3-5 years old. For half-day state funded preschools call (626)854-3449 (M-F, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or for full-day preschools call (626)858-0527 (M-F, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.).

A federally funded preschool program, called Options Head Start, is also available for eligible families at Hollingworth, Hurley, Northam, Villacorta and Yorbita Elementary Schools. For more information, call (626) 284-9935 (M-F, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.).
