Business Leaders Teach Students How to Network at Connections to the Future Event Nov. 6

BUSINESS LEADERS TEACH STUDENTS HOW TO NETWORK AT UNIQUE “CONNECTIONS TO THE FUTURE” EVENT 

Business and community leaders can help high school students learn how to “network” and practice their presentation skills by attending the 24th Annual “Connections to the Future” luncheon event to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Nogales High School. This event is organized and facilitated by senior students from Nogales and Rowland High School who are enrolled in the District Career Certification Program. The event provides students the opportunity to engage in professional networking and employment skills as they interact with local business leaders and industry professional while having lunch.

This year’s theme is “Reaching New Heights” and goes hand in hand with this year’s keynote speaker who is Adventurer John Beede. He will speak about the peak performance and leadership lessons he learned while pursuing his life’s biggest dream; reaching the summit of Mt. Everest. Mr. Beede has been featured on 60 Minutes and has authored two books; “Climb On! Success Strategies for Teens” and “The Mini-Manual for Becoming Super Awesome.
