Friends of Rowland Unified Schools Foundation (FOR US) Board Meeting - Interested Board/Volunteers Invited!

Information Meeting For All Interested Volunteers & Board Members Monday, April 14 at 7 p.m. at RUSD Board Room

The FOR US Foundation is seeking board members and volunteers to participate in organizing and executing upcoming activities and fundraising events. The goal is to have a director or volunteer from every school in the District. 

This Foundation is the Educational Foundation for the Rowland Unified School District, raising funds for our students and classrooms, awarding scholarships, providing programs not currently funded by the school district, and improving educational opportunities for students.  The Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a brighter future for the children of Rowland Unified Schools.

This is an exciting time for the foundation which is currently reworking its calendar.

Remember the Casino Night fundraiser held yearly to raise money for classroom grants? Well, instead of Casino Night this year, the Foundation is looking into putting on a Fall Fundraiser Event, then resume Casino Night again in the spring of 2015. So, be looking for announcements!  Many have asked that we add more themes and variety to the Casino event and the board is working to make this happen. The high school Scholarship award will soon be announced.

You may see a new face in our office, Nicole Aguilar, a student intern from Cal Poly Pomona.  We are fortunate to have Nicole helping the Foundation after our long term assistant Danielle Amaya took a full time position of employment.
